QA Engineer

Role & responsibilities:

• Design develop, and execute automated test scripts for web-based applications.
• Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and QA team members to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Perform manual testing.
• Understand and test against e-commerce business flows such as cart management, checkout, payments, and order tracking.
• Conduct database validations by writing and executing SQL queries to ensure data integrity and backend accuracy.
• Utilize Linux commands to perform log analysis, server verification, and test environment setup.
• Perform API testing using tools like Postman, Swagger, or similar (Optional)
• Test mobile applications across Android and iOS platforms.
• Participate in defect triage meetings, track bugs, and assist in root cause analysis.

Preferred candidate profile:

• Proven experience in Web-based application testing.
• Solid understanding of E-commerce domain workflows.
• Strong knowledge of manual testing methodologies and best practices.
• Experience with database testing must be proficient in writing SQL queries.
• Working knowledge of Linux commands for QA-related tasks (logs, services, files).
• Familiarity with any test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, etc.).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
