QA Engineer

We are looking for a dedicated QA Engineer to join our engineering collective. In this role, you will be a vital advocate for quality, ensuring that our software remains robust, scalable, and user-centric. You will work alongside a collaborative cross-functional team to design, implement, and maintain comprehensive testing strategies across the entire software development lifecycle (SDLC). The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver who values precision and is passionate about building seamless digital experiences.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute sophisticated automated testing suites across multiple environments, from development (DEV) to production (PROD).
• Maintain and scale integration tests using Testcontainers and unit tests using JUnit and Mockito.
• Develop and oversee end-to-end (E2E) testing frameworks utilizing Cypress or Playwright to ensure a flawless user journey.
• Monitor system health through centralized log aggregation, metrics dashboards, and distributed tracing to identify and resolve issues before they impact the user.
• Collaborate with the product and engineering teams via Jira and Confluence to manage backlogs, document test cases, and track defects.
• Govern data integrity across various environments (SIT, UAT, STAGE) by managing dedicated integration test data sets.
• Participate in agile ceremonies, providing insights on technical spikes and contributing to the refinement of stories and tasks.

Required Qualifications

• Proven expertise in Java testing frameworks, specifically JUnit and Mockito.
• Strong proficiency in containerized integration testing using Testcontainers.
• Extensive experience with modern E2E automation tools such as Cypress or Playwright.
• Practical knowledge of observability tools, including distributed tracing and log aggregation platforms.
• High level of proficiency with Jira for ticket management (Stories, Bugs, Tasks, Spikes) and Confluence for technical documentation.
• Experience managing complex test environments and CI/CD pipelines.
