QA Engineer

About the role

A Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer ensures that products and services meet company, customer requirements and industry standards before reaching users. This role is responsible for resolving production quality issues, controlling non-conforming products. They oversee quality assurance activities within the processes, design testing plans, identify defects, and implement preventive measures to reduce errors and improve customer satisfaction.

The successful candidate will work closely with Production, New Porduct Devevlopment, R&D,and other relevant functions to improve product quality and manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and oversee the company’s quality assurance strategies, systems, and standards to ensure consistent product quality and regulatory compliance.
• Creating raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods monitoring system to ensure conformance with internal and external standards (e.g., ISO).
• Design and continuously improve quality inspection protocols and testing procedures to enhance operational efficiency and reduce quality-related costs.
• Analyze production data and quality metrics using statistical tools to identify trends, root causes, and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
• Collaborate closely with production, R&D, and supply chain teams to address and resolve quality issues across the value chain.
• Supervise internal and external audits, including customer audits, certification audits, and regulatory inspections.
• Develop training programs and promote a quality-first culture within the organization.
• Evaluate supplier quality performance and coordinate improvement initiatives to ensure compliance with specifications and standards.
• Prepare and present quality reports, risk assessments, and improvement proposals to senior management for strategic decision-making.
• Monitor customer feedback and implement strategies to enhance overall customer satisfaction with product quality.
• Continuously assess and improve quality assurance processes to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.
• Ensuring that related non-conformities is reported, recorded, investigated, and provide the proper corrective and preventive action to reduce/ improve the significant incident reoccurring. Improvement process to reduce the non-conformities
• Prepare, review and update quality documents, including work instructions, check sheets, quality specifications, Process Control Plans, FMEA, SPC, and MSA documentation.

Qualification

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial or a related field).
• At least 1-3 years of experience in Quality Assurance within furniture or assembly industry.
• In-depth knowledge of quality systems and standards such as ISO 9001 or other industry-relevant frameworks
• Practical knowledge of SPC, MSA, FMEA, Control Plans, 8D Reports, 5Why and QC 7 Tools.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to perform root cause analysis.
• Proficiency in data analysis and statistical quality control (SQC) tools
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and interact with external stakeholders
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and quality management software; experience with CAD or technical drawing interpretation is a plus
• Good command in spoken and written English
