Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented QA Engineer to ensure the quality, functionality, and reliability of software applications. The candidate will be responsible for designing and executing test cases, identifying defects, documenting test results, and collaborating with developers and business teams to deliver high-quality software.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze business requirements, functional specifications, and technical documentation.
• Prepare test plans, test scenarios, test cases, and test data.
• Perform functional, regression, smoke, sanity, integration, and system testing.
• Identify, document, track, and retest software defects.
• Collaborate with developers to investigate and resolve reported issues.
• Execute manual test cases and validate application functionality.
• Perform API testing using tools such as Postman.
• Participate in requirement reviews and provide feedback on testability.
• Maintain test documentation and report testing progress and results.
• Support user acceptance testing (UAT) and release validation.
• Ensure applications meet quality standards before deployment.
• Follow established QA processes and software development life cycle (SDLC) practices.

Required Skills

• Strong understanding of software testing concepts and methodologies.
• Hands-on experience in manual testing.
• Knowledge of test case design, defect life cycle, and bug tracking.
• Familiarity with Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar defect management tools.
• Understanding of SDLC and STLC.
• Basic knowledge of SQL queries for database validation.
• Familiarity with web applications, browsers, and client-server architecture.
• Good analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with automation testing tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
• Knowledge of programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript.
• Experience with API testing and Postman.
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Understanding of performance testing tools such as JMeter is an advantage.

Educational Qualification

B.E./B.Tech, B.Sc. Computer Science, BCA, MCA, or an equivalent qualification in Computer Science or Information Technology.
