QA Engineer

Automation QA Engineer Cognizant is looking for an experienced Automation QA Engineer to develop and maintain automated testing solutions across business-critical applications.

Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain API, UI, and end-to-end automated tests.

Enhance the shared .NET-based automation framework.

Perform database validations and business process automation.

Maintain Azure DevOps pipelines, reporting, and test artefacts.

Ensure traceability between requirements, tests, and defects.

Investigate and manage defects identified through automation.

Participate in code reviews, documentation, and Agile ceremonies.

Required Skills & Experience Strong software engineering background with expertise in an object-oriented language.

Experience building and maintaining automation frameworks for API and UI testing.

Solid understanding of OOP principles, design patterns, and test design.

Knowledge of SQL, database testing, CI/CD pipelines, and source control.

Experience working in Agile environments.

Strong analytical skills and excellent English communication.

Preferred Skills C#/.NET, NUnit, Playwright, RestSharp, PostgreSQL.

Azure DevOps (Boards, Test Plans, Repos, Pipelines).

Gherkin/BDD and Allure reporting.

Scrum or SAFe experience.

Interest in AI-assisted quality engineering.
