QA Engineer

Built is seeking a QA Engineer for a full-time, fully remote position supporting a logistics software platform used by shippers, carriers, and dock teams. You will help ensure that each weekly release works as customers need it to, protecting trust and supporting product adoption.  

This is a hands-on QA role focused on functional, regression, user acceptance (UAT), manual, and API testing across Test, Staging, and Production environments. You will maintain reliable test coverage, identify issues before they reach customers, and help strengthen automation of high-value regression cases over time.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

• Test development tickets in the Test environment and execute regression testing and UAT in Staging according to the weekly release calendar.
• Validate workflows across Yard, Dock, Pass, Slot, and Network, as well as eBOL/POD, OSD, and Appointments.
• Document, file, and triage defects in Linear using the established Defect Management Process, with reports developers can reproduce.
• Maintain TestPlan_ documentation and regression suites as new functionality ships.
• Participate in Wednesday Staging regression and evidence-based go/no-go decisions, and smoke-test Thursday Production releases.
• Partner closely with developers, the QA lead, and Customer Success to reproduce customer-reported issues and share clear findings.
• Review escaped defects to identify patterns, reduce repeat issues, and prioritize high-value regression automation.

Success in this role means fewer escaped Production defects, timely and evidence-based release decisions, faster reproduction of customer issues, and expanding regression coverage.

 

Required Skills

 

• At least 3 years of hands-on manual and API testing experience with web applications, using Postman or a similar tool.
• Comfortable using SQL to validate application data.
• Experience with Linear or Jira, multiple test environments, and structured release processes.
• Strong written communication, especially for clear and reproducible defect reports.
• Ability to collaborate with engineering and customer-facing teams while keeping testing aligned with the release schedule.



Nice-to-Have Skills

 

• Experience with Playwright or Cypress for automated testing.
• Knowledge of logistics or supply chain processes.
