About Us

At Movara Technologies, we believe reliable technology starts with careful development, thorough testing and a commitment to continuous improvement.

We value practical problem-solving, attention to detail and collaboration between technical teams. Our goal is to build a working environment where quality is part of the development process, not simply a final checkpoint.

We're looking for a QA Engineer who enjoys investigating problems, improving testing practices and helping teams deliver dependable software.

The Position

Movara Technologies is seeking a QA Engineer to support the testing and quality assurance of software applications.

In this role, you'll work closely with developers, product teams and other technical stakeholders to identify defects, validate new features and improve overall application reliability.

We're interested in someone who can think beyond basic test cases, recognize potential risks and communicate technical issues clearly. You'll have the opportunity to contribute to both manual and automated testing activities.

Your Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute test plans, test cases and regression testing procedures.
  • Perform functional, integration, system and exploratory testing across software applications.
  • Identify, document and track software defects through resolution.
  • Build and maintain automated test scripts for recurring test scenarios.
  • Test REST APIs, application workflows and data integrity.
  • Collaborate with developers to reproduce issues and verify bug fixes.
  • Review software requirements and acceptance criteria to identify testing gaps.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning and release reviews.
  • Maintain testing documentation and report quality metrics.
  • Recommend improvements to testing tools, processes and release readiness.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3+ years of professional experience in software quality assurance or software testing.
  • Experience with manual testing, regression testing and defect management.
  • Working knowledge of automation tools such as Playwright, Cypress or Selenium.
  • Familiarity with JavaScript, Python or another programming language used in test automation.
  • Experience testing REST APIs using Postman or similar tools.
  • Understanding of SQL and basic database validation.
  • Familiarity with Git, Jira and CI/CD development workflows.
  • Good understanding of Agile software development practices.
  • Strong troubleshooting, documentation and communication skills.

Experience with performance testing, cloud-based applications or automated testing pipelines would be an advantage.

Benefits & Perks

The following benefits are proposed and subject to employer confirmation:

  • Medical, dental and vision insurance options.
  • 401(k) retirement savings plan with potential employer matching.
  • Paid vacation, sick leave and company holidays.
  • Life and disability insurance options.
  • Professional development and technical training.
  • Opportunities to develop test automation and software engineering skills.
  • Collaborative team environment with opportunities for career progression.

The Kind of Person Who Will Succeed

You'll do well in this role if you're naturally curious about how software behaves and enjoy finding issues before they affect users.

We value engineers who take ownership of their work, ask questions when requirements are unclear and provide constructive feedback. You'll need to balance careful testing with project deadlines while maintaining a consistent focus on software quality.

Equal Employment Opportunity

Movara Technologies is committed to providing equal employment opportunities to qualified applicants and employees without regard to any characteristic protected by applicable law.

Reasonable accommodations will be provided during the hiring process and employment as required by law.

How to Apply

Please submit your resume outlining your software testing experience, technical skills and relevant projects.

Candidates with hands-on experience in test automation, API testing and collaborative software development are encouraged to apply.

Pay: $105,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year

Benefits:

  • 401(k) matching
