QA Engineer Expert (Permanent WFH)

Are you a QA Engineer with 1–2 years of experience and a sharp eye for detail? We’re looking for a skilled and proactive QA Engineer to join our team remotely. In this role, you'll contribute to testing strategies, improve product quality, and ensure reliable releases for our web and backend applications. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 1–2 years of experience in Software QA/Testing preferred.
• Entry-level candidates with relevant internship, academic, or project experience may also be considered.
• Experience in functional, regression, integration, and UAT testing.
• Experience creating detailed test scenarios, test cases, and test data.
• Strong knowledge of defect reporting, tracking, and root cause analysis.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and Jira or similar test/defect management tools.
• Basic knowledge of API testing and SQL/database validation.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Test Case Development & Maintenance

• Write, update, and execute comprehensive test cases based on functional specifications and user stories.
• Ensure test cases are traceable to requirements and maintained for accuracy as features evolve.

2. Requirement Analysis

• Review business and technical requirements to understand feature scope and identify potential test scenarios.
• Provide feedback during requirement reviews to clarify ambiguities and ensure testability.

3. Functional, Regression & Exploratory Testing

• Perform manual testing across web and backend systems to validate new features and catch defects.
• Execute regression and exploratory tests during sprints and release cycles to ensure product stability.

4. Defect Tracking & Reporting

• Log bugs clearly with detailed reproduction steps, screenshots, and severity levels using tools like Jira.
• Collaborate with developers to validate fixes and retest issues in a timely manner.

5. Cross-Team Collaboration

• Work closely with developers, product managers, and other QA team members to align on testing scope and timelines.
• Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and QA estimation discussions.

6. Agile Participation & Continuous Improvement

• Join daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives to stay in sync with the team and report progress.
• Contribute to the improvement of QA processes, tools, and team knowledge sharing.
