Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled QA Engineer II with a strong quality assurance mindset and a passion for building high-quality software. The ideal candidate will have expertise in both manual and automated testing across web applications, APIs, databases, and batch processing systems. This role requires strong analytical skills, the ability to identify risks early in the development lifecycle, and experience developing scalable test automation solutions.

The QA Engineer II will work closely with Product Owners, Developers, Business Analysts, and DevOps teams to ensure software quality, reliability, performance, and stability throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test strategies, test plans, test cases, and test scenarios.
• Perform functional, integration, system, regression, end-to-end, and user acceptance testing.
• Develop and maintain UI automation frameworks using Playwright or Selenium.
• Create, execute, and maintain API automation test suites for RESTful and microservice-based applications.
• Validate backend systems through database testing, data verification, and SQL queries.
• Test and validate batch processes, file-based integrations, ETL processes, and scheduled jobs.
• Develop automation utilities and testing solutions using Python.
• Utilize Pandas for large-scale data validation, reconciliation, reporting, and test data analysis.
• Design effective positive, negative, boundary, and edge-case test scenarios.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality requirements are understood and met.
• Identify, document, and track software defects through resolution.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and quality gates to enable rapid and reliable software delivery.
• Root cause analysis and continuous improvement.
• Contribute to test automation framework enhancements and testing best practices.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology or 5+ years in Software testing hands-on experience.
• Strong QA testing mindset with the ability to think critically, challenge assumptions, identify risks, and uncover defects before production.
• Hands-on experience developing and maintaining UI automation frameworks using Playwright or Selenium.
• Strong experience in API automation testing.
• Solid understanding of SQL, relational databases, and data validation techniques.
• Experience testing batch processing systems, ETL workflows, and file-based integrations.
• Strong programming skills in Python.
• Experience using Pandas for data validation and analysis.
• Experience with test management and defect tracking tools.
• Familiarity with Git and source control practices.
• Strong problem-solving, debugging, and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience working within Agile/Scrum development environments.
• Experience using AI-powered development tools such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Cursor, or similar tools to assist with test case generation, automation code generation, test data creation, exploratory testing, and productivity improvements while maintaining appropriate QA oversight and validation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Bamboo, Jenkins or similar platforms.
• Experience testing cloud-based applications on AWS.
• Experience with performance testing, monitoring, and observability tools.
• Experience with Generative AI (GenAI) application testing, including AI-powered chatbots, copilots, intelligent assistants, and workflow automation solutions.
• Experience validating AI-generated summaries, chatbot responses, recommendations, and content for accuracy, relevance, completeness, consistency, and hallucination detection.
• Knowledge of LLM testing, prompt engineering, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) validation, and AI evaluation methodologies.

Pay: ₹1,000,000.00 - ₹2,000,000.00 per year

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Hyderabad, Telangana
