QA Engineer - Manual & API Testing

• Responsible for testing modern web applications built on React (TypeScript) and Node.js APIs.
• The role involves validating UI, APIs, authentication flows, and database interactions to ensure high-quality and secure applications.

Technical Skills Required:

• Strong understanding of Manual Testing & STLC/SDLC
• Experience in API Testing (REST APIs, JSON)
• Understanding of JWT Authentication flow (Login/Token/Authorization)
• Basic knowledge of React applications (UI behaviour testing)
• Familiarity with TypeScript-based applications (basic understanding)
• Knowledge of database testing (MongoDB / SQL basics)
• Understanding of form validation testing (Zod/ React Hook Form concepts)
• Basic understanding of security testing (auth, headers, rate limits)

Tools Knowledge:

• API Testing: Postman / Thunder Client
• Bug Tracking: Jira / Azure Boards
• Version Control: Git (basic usage like pull, commit)
• Browser Debugging: Chrome DevTools

Optional (Good to have):

• MongoDB Compass
• SQL Server Management Studio (MSSQL)

Responsibilities:

• Perform UI Testing for React (TypeScript) applications
• Perform API Testing for Node.js (Express) REST APIs
• Validate authentication flows (JWT login, token expiry, access control)
• Test form validations (React Hook Form + Zod)
• Perform database validation (MongoDB & MSSQL where required)
• Execute functional, regression, smoke, and sanity testing
• Identify, log, and track bugs with proper steps, screenshots, and severity
• Re-test fixed issues and ensure closure
• Validate security aspects (CORS, headers, rate limiting basics)
• Work in Agile/Scrum environment with developers
