QA Engineer (Mobile Application)

Job Purpose

· Ensure the quality, reliability, usability and release readiness of mobile applications developed for UCSI Group through systematic testing, automation and validation.

· The QA Engineer will participate throughout the software development lifecycle rather than testing only immediately before production release.

Key Responsibilities

· Prepare test plans, test scenarios and test cases.

· Perform functional testing of mobile applications.

· Test new features, enhancements and defect fixes.

· Perform regression, integration and system testing.

· Support UAT preparation and execution.

· Test Android and iOS applications across supported devices and OS versions.

· Test different screen sizes, network conditions, permissions, notifications and device capabilities.

· Test application upgrade, installation and uninstall scenarios.

· Perform REST API testing and validate request/response data.

· Test authentication, authorisation and error handling.

· Develop and maintain automated tests where appropriate.

· Identify, document and track defects with clear reproduction steps.

· Work with developers to investigate and resolve defects.

· Perform defect verification and regression testing.

· Support release validation and production smoke testing.

· Maintain QA documentation, regression suites and test reports.

Required Qualifications & Experience

· Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering or a related field.

· 3–5 years of software QA/testing experience.

· At least 2 years of mobile application testing experience is preferred.

Required Technical Skills

· Mobile application functional and regression testing.

· API testing.

· Test case preparation and defect management.

· Postman or equivalent API testing tools.

· SQL and basic database validation.

· Basic Git/source-control knowledge.

· Understanding of Android and iOS application behaviour.

Desirable Experience

· Appium.

· Playwright, Selenium or Cypress.

· Postman/Newman.

· Flutter integration testing.

· CI/CD testing integration.

· Performance testing.

· Mobile security testing.

· ISTQB certification.

· Experience testing large enterprise applications.

Pay: RM3,500.00 - RM8,000.00 per month
