Position Summary We’re seeking a QA Engineer with a strong foundation in manual testing practices and a quality-first mindset. You’ll be part of a cross-functional team focused on delivering high-quality web and mobile applications. Your responsibilities will center on test planning, execution, and defect validation, with opportunities to contribute to exploratory efforts and collaborate on test strategies that support automation coverage. This role is suited for someone who takes ownership of their work and contributes meaningfully to the stability and reliability of each release.

Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities

  • Participate in Agile ceremonies such as stand-ups, backlog grooming, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
  • Write and maintain clear, comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test data to support feature and regression testing.
  • Ensure test cases are prioritized and traceable to requirements, acceptance criteria, or user stories.
  • Own and execute test activities for assigned releases, covering new feature validation, regression, and exploratory testing.
  • Collaborate with Product to understand acceptance criteria and identify areas requiring deeper test coverage.
  • Work with Developers to triage, reproduce, and troubleshoot issues.
  • Document and track bugs clearly using Jira or a similar defect management tool.
  • Share observations that could help refine quality practices or streamline testing.
  • Partner with automation engineers to prioritize and delegate which tests should be added to automation suites.
  • Stay current with QA best practices and contribute to internal QA process evolution.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance, ideally within Agile teams.
  • Strong understanding of SDLC, QA methodologies, and the role of QA in modern product delivery.
  • Proficiency in writing and executing test plans, test cases, and test data.
  • Familiarity with test management tools (e.g., TestRail, Zephyr) and bug tracking systems (e.g., Jira).
  • Experience validating web and/or mobile applications, including regression and cross-platform testing.
  • Comfortable working in cross-functional teams with Product, Development, and Automation Engineering.
  • Effective communicator, both verbal and written; able to clearly document issues and advocate for quality.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage shifting priorities across multiple features or sprints.
  • Curious and detail-oriented, with the ability to spot edge cases or test gaps that may not be immediately visible.
  • Advanced English is a must.
