QA Engineer Tech

Role: Inspect and measure high-performance engine parts and components using manual techniques and programmed measurement equipment to ensure quality and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Perform dimensional, material, surface-finish, and engineering specification inspections of engine parts using precision tools.
• Operate CMM and optical measurement systems, analyze results, and maintain inspection records.
• Maintain inspection documentation, determine rework or rejection of nonconforming parts.
• Support engineering and manufacturing with measurement requests, troubleshooting, and quality improvements.
• Schedule equipment maintenance, recommend process efficiencies, and ensure safety procedures are followed.

Qualifications & Skills

• High School diploma; knowledge of geometry, trigonometry, GD&T, and manual inspection techniques.
• Minimum 5 years QA or machining experience in aerospace/manufacturing, with expertise in CMM operation, setup, and calibration.
• Experience with programmed surface and form measurement systems, CAD/CAM programming, and ERP/MRP systems.
• Strong communication, organizational, problem-solving, and teamwork skills; self-motivated with minimal supervision.

Key Duties: Conduct final part inspections, verify dimensions, and approve or reject parts. Maintain and troubleshoot inspection equipment, suggest process improvements, and adhere to safety standards. Must be capable of physical tasks, working in potentially hazardous environments, and making quick, accurate decisions under pressure.
