QA Engineer(AI-Enabled Automation Testing)

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented QA Automation Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and executing comprehensive testing strategies, developing automated test scripts using Playwright, and improving the overall quality and reliability of web and eCommerce applications.

The role also involves leveraging AI tools and AI agents to optimize QA activities, reduce manual effort, improve test coverage, and enhance testing efficiency. Strong knowledge of the Shopify ecosystem and eCommerce workflows is required.

Key Responsibilities

• Create detailed and comprehensive test plans, test cases, test scenarios, and testing strategies.
• Analyze business and technical requirements to design effective test scenarios.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, system, API, and end-to-end testing.
• Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using Playwright.
• Build, enhance, and maintain scalable automation frameworks to improve test coverage and execution efficiency.
• Identify opportunities to integrate AI-driven testing solutions into the QA lifecycle.
• Leverage AI tools and AI agents for activities such as test case generation, regression testing, defect analysis, reporting, and workflow optimization.
• Continuously explore AI-based approaches to improve QA productivity and reduce repetitive manual effort.
• Estimate testing effort and provide accurate timelines for testing activities.
• Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects using standard defect management tools.
• Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to investigate and resolve defects.
• Participate in sprint planning, requirement analysis, release validation, and other Agile activities.
• Maintain testing standards, best practices, documentation, and QA processes.
• Prepare daily status reports and update progress using company-approved project management and testing tools.
• Ensure timely completion of testing activities while maintaining high-quality standards.
• Research and adopt emerging QA methodologies, automation practices, and AI advancements.
• Work effectively with distributed teams and clients across different time zones.
• Apply strong knowledge of the Shopify ecosystem and eCommerce workflows during testing activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience in Software Quality Assurance / Software Testing / QA Automation.
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and QA processes.
• Hands-on experience with Playwright for test automation.
• Experience with functional, regression, integration, system, API, and end-to-end testing.
• Strong understanding of test planning, test case design, defect management, and release validation.
• Experience working with automation frameworks and maintaining reusable test scripts.
• Knowledge of API testing and related testing tools.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
• Experience using defect tracking and project management tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with developers, product teams, stakeholders, and distributed teams.
• Strong understanding of Shopify and eCommerce workflows.

Preferred Skills

• Experience using AI tools or AI agents for software testing and QA automation.
• Knowledge of AI-assisted test case generation and defect analysis.
• Experience integrating AI into QA workflows.
• Experience testing Shopify-based eCommerce applications.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automated test execution.
• Familiarity with Git and version-control systems.
• Experience working with international clients or distributed teams.
• Strong interest in emerging QA automation and AI technologies.
