QA Executive

1. Upstream QA Monitoring

• Conduct risk-based QA verification of critical upstream process controls.
• Verify compliance with approved specifications, SOPs/WIs and food safety requirements.
• Review Production monitoring records and conduct independent checks where required.
• Perform targeted sampling/testing of raw materials and intermediate products.
• Identify abnormal process trends and escalate significant deviations.

2. Critical Process Verification

• Conduct scheduled/risk-based verification of koji condition and fermentation controls and escalate any abnormality that may affect product quality or food safety.

3. Intermediate Product Control

• Assess upstream intermediate product compliance before transfer to the next process.
• Place affected materials/products on QA hold when requirements are not met.
• Ensure proper identification and traceability of held materials.
• Recommend disposition to QA Manager where necessary.
• Prevent non-conforming upstream material from entering downstream processing.

 4**. Deviation & CAPA**

• Investigate upstream deviations and non-conformances.
• Collect process data and samples.
• Perform preliminary root-cause analysis.
• Work with Production to establish corrective actions.
• Follow up CAPA effectiveness.
• Trend recurring upstream failures.

5. Food Safety & GMP

• Conduct GMP/hygiene inspections in upstream or other factory areas.
• Verify implementation of food safety controls.
• Identify potential microbiological, chemical and physical contamination risks.
• Escalate critical food safety risks immediately.

6. Documentation

• Review Production records for completeness and abnormal results.
• Ensure QA records are accurate and traceable.
• Maintain upstream QA verification records.
• Highlight recurring documentation/process weaknesses.

7. Audit & Improvement

• Support internal/customer/BRC/FSSC/HACCP audits especially on the upstream/pb traceability
• Provide upstream QA records and evidence.
• Participate in process validation and improvement projects.
• Trend upstream deviations and recommend preventive improvements.

8**. Other Responsibilities**

• Undertake additional tasks and responsibilities assigned by QA Manager to support departmental objectives.
