QA Head

About the role

We are seeking for a QA Head to lead our quality assurance function and drive excellence across our testing and quality initiatives. This is a full-time position based in Paranaque City, Metro Manila. In this strategic leadership role, you will oversee all quality assurance operations, establish testing standards, and ensure that our products and services meet the highest quality benchmarks. As QA Head, you will be instrumental in building and managing a high-performing QA team whilst fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the quality assurance department.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and develop the QA team, establishing clear performance standards and fostering professional growth
• Develop and implement comprehensive quality assurance strategies aligned with organisational objectives
• Establish and maintain quality metrics, KPIs and reporting mechanisms to track QA performance
• Design and oversee the execution of testing plans, test cases and test scenarios across all product releases
• Collaborate with product, development and business teams to understand requirements and ensure quality standards are met
• Identify process improvements and implement best practices in testing methodologies and tools
• Manage QA budgets, resources and tools to optimise team efficiency
• Conduct root cause analysis on critical defects and implement preventative measures
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and quality frameworks
• Provide technical leadership on emerging testing technologies and automation frameworks

What we're looking for

• Minimum 8-10 years of experience in quality assurance, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership or management capacity
• Proven expertise in test planning, test case development, manual testing and automated testing frameworks
• Strong knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) and quality assurance methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, etc.)
• Experience with testing tools and automation platforms such as Selenium, JIRA, TestNG, or similar technologies
• Excellent leadership and people management skills with the ability to build and motivate high-performing teams
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all organisational levels
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with attention to detail
• Proficiency in data analysis and the ability to interpret metrics to drive decision-making
• Knowledge of financial systems, payment processing or fintech solutions is highly desirable
• Certification in quality assurance or software testing (ISTQB, CSTE, or equivalent) is preferred
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field
