QA Laboratory Analyst - Licensed Chemical Technician

OVERALL MANDATES

The QA Analyst ensures that all packaging materials, raw materials, in-process, finished goods and other materials used in production premises are within physico-chemical specifications.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Quality Assurance & Food Safety

• Verify, validate and update physico-chemical tests to ensure the accuracy and effectivity of method and results of physico-chemical tests.

• Conducts, Supervise or Verifies tests such are but not limit to:

   Moisture Content Analysis

   Product Sensory Evaluation

   Water Activity Analysis

   pH Determination

   Particle Size Determination

   Solvent Test

   Viscosity Determination

   Total Soluble Solids Determination

   Texture Analyzing

   Allergen Test

   Gauss Strength Test

   Bloom Test etc.

• Issue Certificate of Analysis for materials undergone physico-chemical tests

• Maintains records of important materials, instructions, tests etc. that may be used for later analysis

• Collect data and generate report and analysis relating to the physico-chemical result of materials being tested.

• Maintains organization and cleanliness of work station compliant to GHP Standards

• Ensures all concerns regarding Quality and Food Safety are reported to the concerned Team and also assist in decision making relating to quality and food safety issues.

• Shall demonstrate leadership and commitment with respect to Quality & FSMS.

• Communicating the importance of maintaining quality standard throughout the production process to delivery of good quality products to the customer

• Communicating the importance of effective food safety management and conforming to the FSMS requirements, applicable statutory and regulatory requirements, and mutually agreed customer requirements related to food safety.

• Accountable in monitoring all laboratory tools and equipment used for physico-chemical testing.

• Provides disposition and report of quality deviation         with products, personnel, machine and/or environment that fails or not compliant food safety and quality standards.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Ensures all the changes implemented in the product or process are being followed.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Graduate of BS Chemistry or BS Food Technology
• License in Chemical Technician
• Knowledge in basic laboratory standards and good laboratory practices.
• Knowledge in basic FSSC requirements
• Above-average leadership and communication skills
