QA Lead & QA Manager

What youll do:

• Guide test plan development. Provides direction and templates for teams to create detailed test plans that cover all aspects of software testing, including functional, regression, performance, and security testing.
• The QA specialist helps teams understand best quality practices, explains how to write better documentation, and sometimes teach the team how to write automated tests independently.
• Provide leadership and analysis of quality requirements to ensure high-quality solutions.
• Establishing proper test processes. Identify and document how problems are analyzed, requirements are documented, and issues are communicated to impact overall quality and prevent issues. QA specialist ensures that the processes and practices within the team lead to high-quality products.
• Champion test automation. Design, develop, and maintain agreed plans for automated test script implementation for development teams to improve test coverage and efficiency.
• Leads and contributes to the post-mortem process. Ensures that the teams learn and improve from each mistake, not just fix and forget.
• Generate and present detailed test reports, highlighting key metrics and areas of concern to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand product requirements and provide feedback on design and implementation.
• Design and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks for continuous integration and regression testing.
• Identify, isolate, and document software defects using established defect tracking tools.
• Work closely with development teams to prioritize, troubleshoot, and resolve issues, ensuring the highest quality of software releases.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve code quality and testability.
• Contribute to the improvement of testing processes and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Stay up to date with industry best practices, emerging technologies, and testing tools to continually improve the quality of our software.
• Define and measure KPIs and/or SLOs to track and drive product quality improvements.

Youll be expected to have:

• Bachelor s degree in a technical field or equivalent work experience, along with 7+ years of experience in quality engineering
• Strong proficiency in designing and implementing automated test scripts using testing frameworks (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG).
• Experience in reporting systems tied to reporting testing results.
• Solid understanding of software development lifecycles, agile methodologies, and continuous integration practices.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills, including the ability to effectively document test plans, test cases, and defects.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and continuous integration tools (e.g., Jenkins) is a plus.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and related services is a bonus.
