QA Lead (OIPA)

We are hiring for the QA Lead - Life Insurance & OIPA

Job Summary:

We seek an experienced QA Lead with strong Life Insurance domain knowledge and hands-on experience testing Oracle OIPA, front-end applications, APIs, integrations, and end-to-end insurance workflows. The QA Lead will own the testing approach for assigned applications and releases, lead QA activities, guide engineers, manage defects and risks, and partner with BAs, Product Owners, developers, OIPA and integration teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

Roles & Responsibility

QA Strategy, Planning & Leadership

• Define QA strategy, test approach, scope, entry/exit criteria, estimates, schedules and resource plans.
• Lead and mentor QA engineers; allocate work, review deliverables, promote standards and knowledge sharing.
• Identify testing risks across Front-End, APIs, OIPA, integrations, databases and downstream systems.
• Drive SIT, regression, UAT support, release validation and production verification.

Life Insurance Domain & OIPA Testing

• Test end-to-end policy lifecycle: quotation, application, underwriting, issuance, premium/billing, servicing, alterations, endorsements, reinstatement, lapse, surrender, maturity, cancellation, claims, payments, refunds and commissions.
• Validate product rules, eligibility, coverage, premium calculations, benefits, riders, status changes and financial transactions.
• Lead functional & integration testing of OIPA; validate transactions, activities, rules, calculations, billing, batch processes and correspondence against requirements.
• Support OIPA implementation, enhancement, migration and upgrade testing; work with configurators to resolve defects.

Front-End, API & Integration Testing

• Lead testing of digital/front-end applications and end-to-end customer/operational journeys (UI, workflows, RBAC, documents, notifications).
• Validate REST APIs (payloads, status codes, error handling, data mapping, business rules) and end-to-end integrations: Front-End API OIPA Payment / Document / Notification / Downstream systems.
• Coordinate with integration and development teams to troubleshoot interface and data issues.

Test Design, Defect Management & Reporting

• Review requirements/FSDs/user stories; design comprehensive scenarios (positive, negative, boundary, exception, regression) and review team test cases.
• Own defect lifecycle: logging quality, triage with BA/PO/Dev/OIPA teams, track ageing/trends, ensure retest & regression.
• Define & track metrics (execution progress, pass/fail, defect density/severity/ageing, regression coverage); prepare status reports and dashboards.
• Participate in release readiness / go-no-go; provide QA sign-off and quality risk assessment.

• Knowledge of Term, Whole Life, Endowment, ULIP, Riders, Group Life
• Test automation (Selenium / Playwright / Cypress)
• Performance testing & basic SQL / DB testing
• CI/CD and Agile delivery experience
• Jira / Azure DevOps / Zephyr / Xray / ALM
• End-to-end: Front-End API OIPA Downstream
