We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Quality Assurance Manager to lead our Quality and Food Safety functions within a world-class wheat flour milling operation. This role is responsible for ensuring that all products consistently meet customer expectations, regulatory requirements, and international food safety standards while driving a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Management

• Lead and manage all Quality Assurance and Quality Control activities across the flour milling operation.

• Establish, implement, and continuously improve Quality Management Systems (QMS).

• Ensure compliance with customer specifications and quality standards for wheat flour and by-products.

• Monitor and analyse quality performance indicators and implement corrective actions where necessary.

Food Safety & Regulatory Compliance

• Maintain compliance with HACCP, GMP, FSSC 22000, ISO 22000, Halal, and other applicable regulatory requirements.

• Lead internal and external audits conducted by customers, certification bodies, and government authorities.

• Drive food safety culture initiatives throughout the organization.

• Ensure all product quality and food safety documentation are effectively maintained and updated.

Laboratory & Testing Management

• Oversee laboratory operations, testing protocols, equipment calibration, and quality data management.

• Ensure accuracy and reliability of analytical testing results.

• Monitor flour quality parameters including:

• Protein Content

• Moisture

• Ash Content

• Wet Gluten

• Falling Number

• Damaged Starch

• Farinograph & Alveograph Analysis

Continuous Improvement

• Lead root cause analysis investigations and implementation of CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Actions).

• Collaborate with Production, Milling, Supply Chain, Engineering, Procurement, and Sales teams to improve product quality and operational efficiency.

• Identify opportunities for process optimization, waste reduction, and customer satisfaction enhancement.

Leadership & People Development

• Manage, coach, and develop the QA/QC team.

• Build talent pipelines and succession plans within the Quality function.

• Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous learning.

Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in food technology, Food Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Microbiology, or a related field.

• Master's Degree is an advantage.

Experience

• Minimum 8-10 years of experience in Quality Assurance/Quality Control within food manufacturing.

• Minimum 3 years of managerial experience leading QA/QC teams.

• Experience in wheat flour milling, grain processing, food ingredients, or FMCG manufacturing is highly preferred.
