QA Manager

Key Responsibilities

• Own and evolve the overall QA strategy across prescription fulfillment, teleconsultation, e-prescription, and supporting workflows.
• Lead and mentor a lean QA team, establishing effective testing practices without creating unnecessary process overhead.
• Define test strategy, coverage, risk assessment, release criteria, and QA metrics.
• Drive functional, regression, integration, API, mobile/web, and end-to-end testing.
• Work closely with Product and Engineering from requirements through release—not just during final testing.
• Identify high-risk healthcare workflows and ensure appropriate test coverage and controls.
• Establish and improve automated testing where it provides meaningful value.
• Investigate production issues, drive root-cause analysis, and help prevent recurrence.
• Ensure quality practices account for sensitive patient and prescription data, auditability, access controls, and other healthcare-specific considerations.
• Help build a quality culture where QA is a shared engineering responsibility.
• Introduce AI into QA workflows while maintaining appropriate human review and quality controls.

Qualifications

• Strong QA leadership experience, ideally in healthcare technology, digital health, telehealth, pharmacy, or other regulated software environments.
• Experience leading a small or lean QA team while remaining hands-on when necessary.
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, test planning, risk-based testing, and release management.
• Experience testing complex integrations and APIs.
• Experience with test automation and the ability to determine where automation is—and isn't—worthwhile.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with engineering, product, operations, and clinical stakeholders.
• Experience with EMR/EHR systems is highly advantageous, particularly familiarity with clinical workflows, patient records, e-prescriptions, medication workflows, or healthcare interoperability.
• Experience with telemedicine/teleconsultation or pharmacy systems would be a strong plus.
