QA MANAGER

Key responsibilities

• Lead and oversee overall QA/QC operations and ensure compliance with product, customer, ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 requirements
• Manage and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS), quality objectives and departmental KPIs
• Handle customer quality matters including complaints, CAR, 8D, CAPA, customer audits and Gemba visits
• Lead supplier quality activities including supplier audits, performance monitoring and corrective actions
• Coordinate internal, external, customer and certification audits and ensure timely closure of audit findings
• Manage product compliance and certification requirements including UL, DEKRA, SIRIM, RoHS, REACH and other applicable requirements
• Lead, guide and develop the QA/QC team, including training, competency development and skill matrix
• Monitor quality performance and drive continuous improvement to reduce defects, complaints and Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ)
• Prepare quality performance reports, analysis and recommendations for management review

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Quality Management, Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field
• Minimum 5 years of working experience in QA/QC, preferably in a manufacturing environment, with supervisory or managerial experience
• Good knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, Quality Management System (QMS) and audit requirements
• Experience in handling customer complaints, 8D, CAPA, root cause analysis and corrective actions
• Familiar with supplier quality management, customer audits and internal/external audits
• Strong leadership and problem-solving skills with the ability to lead and develop a QA/QC team
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers, suppliers and management
• Able to analyse quality performance, identify improvement areas and drive continuous improvement activities
