QA Officer

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated QA Officer to join Tai Wo Tung Medicine Company Limited in our Tsuen Wan District facility on a full-time basis. This is a crucial position within our Quality Assurance and Control operations, ensuring that all products meet our quality standards and comply with regulatory requirements. As a QA Officer, you will play a vital role in safeguarding our reputation and protecting consumer safety through meticulous quality control processes and comprehensive product testing.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct thorough inspections and testing of raw materials, work-in-progress products and finished goods to ensure compliance with quality specifications and regulatory standards
• Assist in establishing and maintaining quality management system, SOP, GMP documents and records
• Perform product sampling and analysis using appropriate testing methodologies and equipment
• Investigate quality deviations and non-conformances, identifying causes and implementing corrective actions
• Maintain detailed records of quality assurance activities, test reports and audit trails for traceability and regulatory compliance
• Support internal audits and external regulatory inspections to ensure adherence to quality management systems
• Collaborate with production teams to address quality concerns and improve processes
• Ensure proper labelling, packaging and storage of products in accordance with quality standards
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and help maintain a strong quality culture across the organization

What we're looking for

• Degree in Science, Pharmaceutical Science, Chemistry or a related discipline
• Proven experience working in quality assurance and control within the pharmaceutical, medicine or TCM industry
• Strong knowledge of quality control testing methods, procedures and regulatory requirements relevant to the medicine and pharmaceutical sector
• Proficiency in operating quality assurance equipment and laboratory instruments
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to accurately document and report findings
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate quality issues systematically
• Good communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
• Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards and regulatory compliance requirements
• Relevant certifications in quality assurance, quality management or pharmaceutical inspection would be advantageous
• Candidates with more working experience will be considered as Senior QA Officer
