QA Owner’s Representative

Location: St. Louis, Missouri

Project: Major Data Center Project

Start Date: ASAP

Duration: Long Term Contract

Working Arrangement: Site Based

The Opportunity

We are currently looking for an experienced QA Owner’s Representative to join a major data center project in St. Louis, Missouri.

This is a site based position representing the owner and working closely with the General Contractor, MEP contractors, commissioning team, design teams and other key project stakeholders to ensure quality standards are maintained throughout the project.

The successful candidate will have strong experience within data center or mission critical construction and a solid understanding of QA/QC processes across MEP systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Represent the owner on site throughout the project

• Oversee QA/QC activities across the data center project

• Review contractor quality plans, ITPs, inspection records and quality documentation

• Coordinate with the GC, MEP contractors, commissioning teams and vendors

• Conduct site inspections, quality audits and regular walkdowns

• Monitor installation quality and ensure works are completed in accordance with project specifications and approved drawings

• Identify, document and track quality issues through to resolution

• Manage punch lists, deficiencies and outstanding works

• Review testing and commissioning documentation

• Support commissioning and system turnover activities

• Attend project meetings and provide regular updates to the owner

• Monitor contractor performance and challenge issues where required

• Ensure project quality requirements are maintained through construction, testing and handover

• Support final documentation, closeout and turnover activities

Requirements

• Proven experience in QA/QC within data center or mission critical construction

• Previous experience working as an Owner’s Representative, QA Manager, QA/QC Manager or similar

• Strong understanding of MEP construction and installation

• Experience working with General Contractors and MEP subcontractors

• Strong knowledge of inspections, ITPs, quality documentation and punch management

• Experience supporting commissioning and project handover

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

• Ability to work independently on a large, fast paced data center project

• Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications and project documentation

Desirable Experience

• Hyperscale data center experience

• Experience representing an owner or developer

• Electrical or mechanical QA/QC background

• Experience across large scale MEP installations

• Experience working alongside commissioning teams

• Experience with complex mission critical construction projects
