QA / QC Coordinator

Job Summary

The QA/QC Coordinator is responsible for supporting the company's Quality Management System (QMS) by ensuring all raw materials, production processes, finished products, and sanitation programs comply with company specifications, regulatory requirements, and food safety standards. The position performs laboratory testing, quality inspections, documentation review, environmental monitoring, employee training, and supports continuous improvement initiatives while maintaining compliance with SQF, HACCP, FSMA, GMP, CFIA and customer requirements.

Duties

• Maintain and support the Quality Management System (QMS).
• Ensure compliance with SQF, HACCP, GMP, FSMA Preventive Controls, CFIA regulations and customer requirements.
• Review and maintain SOPs, work instructions, forms and quality records.
• Assist in preparing for third-party, customer and regulatory audits.
• Participate in internal audits, GMP inspections and mock recalls.
• Investigate quality issues and support Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
• Monitor implementation and effectiveness of food safety programs.

Requirements

• Proven analysis skills with the ability to interpret technical data and inspection results accurately.
• Experience in data collection, documentation, and reporting.
• Ability to perform detailed monthly inspections / audits while maintaining a keen eye for detail.
• Excellent communication skills for coordinating with diverse teams and documenting findings clearly.
• Minimum 2–5 years of QA/QC experience in food manufacturing.
• Experience in fruit processing, beverage or food ingredient manufacturing is an asset.
• Experience with laboratory testing and food safety systems.
• Experience working in SQF-certified facilities preferred.

Pay: $50,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
