QA QC Enginner (Hydropower)

About the role

We are looking for a QA/QC Engineer to ensure all construction and project activities meet approved drawings, technical specifications, contract requirements, and quality standards. The role involves inspections, testing, documentation, and monitoring of civil, structural, and electromechanical works for hydropower projects. The successful candidate will work closely with project teams, contractors, consultants, and stakeholders to identify quality issues, prevent rework, and ensure corrective actions are implemented effectively.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct site inspections to verify compliance with drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
• Inspect civil, structural, and infrastructure works such as concrete works, roads, powerhouses, intake facilities, and penstocks.
• Coordinate material inspections, testing, and verification of completed works.
• Review inspection requests, test plans, reports, and quality documents.
• Monitor and close non-conformance reports (NCRs) and corrective actions.
• Maintain inspection records, test results, and quality documentation.
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and project teams on quality requirements.
• Identify quality risks and recommend preventive measures.
• Support resolution of quality-related construction issues.
• Ensure project quality objectives are achieved while supporting construction schedules.

About you

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Preferably a Licensed Civil Engineer.
• At least 4 years of experience in QA/QC, construction, infrastructure, renewable energy, or power projects.
• EPC project experience is an advantage.
• Knowledge of QA/QC processes, inspections, testing, NCRs, and quality documentation.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Strong documentation, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Willing to work in remote project locations and conduct field inspections.
• Must be willing to be assigned at the Benguet Site Office.
