QA, QC MANAGER-CONSTRUCTION

About the role

We are looking for an experienced QA/QC Manager to lead quality assurance and quality control for our construction projects. You will work closely with project and site teams to ensure construction works, materials, inspections, testing and documentation meet approved drawings, specifications, contractual requirements and applicable standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the project QA/QC function and team.
• Prepare and maintain Project Quality Plans, QA/QC procedures, Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), checklists and quality records.
• Ensure works comply with approved drawings, specifications, method statements and contract requirements.
• Review method statements, material submissions, inspection requirements and work sequences before site execution.
• Oversee site inspections for structural, architectural, finishing, installation and other construction works.
• Verify materials, workmanship, completed works and installations.
• Coordinate material testing, field testing, mock-ups and required inspections.
• Ensure inspection and testing equipment is properly calibrated and maintained.
• Manage NCRs, quality observations, defects, corrective actions and close-out.
• Investigate recurring defects and implement corrective and preventive measures.

About you

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Building or a related field.
• At least 5–10 years of QA/QC experience in the construction industry.
• Experience in high-rise, commercial, mixed-development or major building projects is preferred.
• Experience leading or supervising a QA/QC team is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of construction standards, specifications, quality procedures, inspections and material testing.
• Able to interpret drawings, specifications, method statements, ITPs and site instructions.
• Hands-on experience in site inspections, NCR management, corrective actions, quality audits and handover documentation.
• Good knowledge of QA/QC records, reporting, document control and quality registers.
• Good spoken and written communication in English and Bahasa Malaysia. Mandarin is an advantage.
• Strong leadership, coordination and decision-making skills.
