What they need

We are looking for a QA Software Engineer to help us build reliable, high-quality software. In this role, you will work closely with software engineers, product managers, and other QA engineers to design test strategies, identify risks early, and improve the quality of our products throughout the development lifecycle.

A key part of the role will be creating and maintaining automated end-to-end tests using Playwright. You will contribute to a modern, maintainable test automation framework and help the team increase confidence in every release.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated UI and end-to-end tests using Playwright.
  • Create reusable test scenarios for critical user journeys and regression coverage.
  • Collaborate with developers and product managers to clarify requirements and define acceptance criteria.
  • Participate in test planning, risk analysis, and release-readiness activities.
  • Investigate test failures, identify root causes, and work with engineers to resolve defects.
  • Report, document, and follow up on bugs with clear reproduction steps and supporting evidence.
  • Improve the stability, execution time, and maintainability of automated test suites.
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and monitor test results.
  • Perform exploratory, integration, regression, and cross-browser testing when appropriate.
  • Contribute to QA standards, processes, documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required qualifications

  • Professional experience in software quality assurance or test automation.
  • Hands-on experience creating automated tests with Playwright.
  • Strong knowledge of TypeScript or JavaScript.
  • Experience testing web applications, including browser behavior, HTTP requests, and client-side interactions.
  • Understanding of test design techniques, test planning, defect life cycles, and risk-based testing.
  • Experience with API testing and tools such as REST clients, Postman, or automated API libraries.
  • Familiarity with Git and CI/CD practices.
  • Ability to analyze failures and troubleshoot issues using logs, browser developer tools, and application data.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and maintain a quality-focused mindset.
