QA Software Tester Role

Job Description – QA Software Tester

We are looking for a QA Software Tester with an engineering background and 2+ years of experience in manual and automation testing. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience testing e-commerce platforms, strong exposure to web and mobile applications, and experience working with modern CI/CD tools and Agile teams.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test cases

Perform functional, regression, integration, and system testing

Test web and mobile applications across multiple browsers and devices

Perform API testing to validate backend services

Automate test cases using TestNG and Cypress

Identify, log, and track defects using JIRA

Collaborate closely with development and product teams in an Agile/Scrum environment

Integrate and execute automated test suites within CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins

Work with Docker for test environment setup and execution

Maintain test plans, test cases, test reports, and documentation

Ensure quality releases through continuous testing and improvement

Required Skills & Qualifications

Engineering background (BE / BTech or equivalent)

2+ years of experience in software testing

Strong experience in Manual and Automation Testing

Proficiency in Java and JavaScript

Hands-on experience with TestNG and Cypress

Experience in API testing

Strong knowledge of Git, JIRA

Experience working with Jenkins and CI/CD pipelines

Hands-on experience with Docker

Experience testing E-commerce platforms

Hands-on experience in Web and Mobile Testing

Good understanding of SDLC and STLC

Experience working in Agile/Scrum methodologies
