What they need

  • Three days per week, based in Charmhaven
  • Build your experience with Tip Top Bakeries
  • Initial three-month contract, with potential to extend

Finished your degree and ready to put your eye for detail to work?

Maybe you’ve studied food technology, chemical engineering or laboratory science, and you’re looking for a way into food manufacturing.

Somewhere you can learn the processes, get to know the people and see how quality and production come together.

Here on the Central Coast, you’ll join Tip Top Bakeries, supporting the teams behind some familiar favourites.

You don’t need years of experience.

Confidence with computers, a knack for keeping information organised and a willingness to learn will go a long way.

About The Opportunity

Working three days per week at the Charmhaven site, you’ll help the Quality and Production teams keep their reporting, records and day-to-day administration on track.

There’s plenty happening across the site. Your role will be to bring the information together and make sure the details are accounted for.

One day you’ll be updating spreadsheets with production output, waste and downtime figures, checking records and following up on missing information.

The next you could be organising quality documentation, updating complaint registers or helping prepare reports for a team meeting.

You’ll also support the paperwork behind sample testing, from organising dispatch through to filing results, and help keep cleaning checks, product checks and traceability records up to date.

Accuracy matters here.

You’ll spot gaps, flag discrepancies and raise unusual results or potential quality concerns with the responsible manager.

You’ll have guidance from the team as you learn the site’s systems and processes.

As your confidence grows, there may also be opportunities to support site projects and help others navigate reporting tools and documentation.

This is an opportunity to build your understanding of food manufacturing through the administration and reporting that support it every day.

The team is looking for someone who can start as soon as possible, on an initial three-month contract with the possibility of an extension.

About The Business

You’ll probably recognise the name.

Tip Top Bakeries is behind products you’ve likely seen in your supermarket or had in your kitchen.

At Charmhaven, you’ll work alongside the people keeping production moving and supporting the quality standards behind those products.

For someone starting their career, it’s a chance to get familiar with a manufacturing environment, ask questions and learn how the different parts of the operation connect.

About You

You’re comfortable working with computers and confident using Excel, Word and Outlook.

You like working with information, keeping things organised and making sure the numbers and paperwork line up.

You’re also happy to ask questions.

Whether you’re learning a new system or chasing a missing figure, you can communicate clearly and follow things through.

You might be a recent graduate in food technology, food science, chemical engineering, laboratory science or a related discipline.

Or you could bring strong administration and reporting skills, with an interest in moving into food manufacturing.

Previous food manufacturing or quality experience would be helpful, but it isn’t essential.

What matters is your attention to detail, reliability and willingness to learn.

You’ll need to be available to work on site in Charmhaven three days per week and ready to get started soon.
