QA Specialist (IT)

Responsibilities

• Develop test strategies and test plans for FBB projects.
• Review business requirements, functional specifications, and test policies to ensure adequate test coverage.
• Define the scope of testing and design end-to-end (E2E) test scenarios.
• Guide and coordinate outsourced testers by providing testing guidelines, reviewing deliverables, and ensuring compliance with testing standards and project requirements.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Business Users, Development Teams, and external stakeholders to align testing activities.
• Provide technical guidance and testing best practices to outsourced testing teams to ensure consistent quality and standards.
• Review test cases, test execution results, and defect reports submitted by outsourced testers.
• Monitor testing progress, identify risks/issues, and follow up on defect resolution.
• Coordinate with outsourced testing teams to ensure deliverables are completed according to project timelines and quality expectations.
• Support test automation initiatives and continuously improve testing processes and methodologies.
• Configure and maintain test environments, test data, and testing tools as required.
• Prepare testing status reports and communicate progress to project stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

• 3–5 years of experience in Software Testing or Quality Assurance.

• Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, SDLC/STLC, testing tools, and quality assurance best practices.

• Experience in test planning, test execution, defect management, and UAT coordination.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Good communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.

• Ability to provide guidance and review the work of testing teams without direct people management responsibility.

• Knowledge of test automation tools is a plus.

• Experience in Telecommunications or Broadband (FBB) projects is an advantage.
