QA Tech (Walkers)

Job Function:

To ensure that the products that the company produces meet the quality, safety, and legal requirements.

Maindutiesand****responsibilities:

• Under general direction, plan and organize daily activity of assigned area.

• Follow through on set processes and procedures to ensure compliance with good manufacturing practices (GMP), food safety, FDA, USDA requirements.

• Ensure that the work descriptions are followed.

• Responsible for monitoring, evaluating, and reporting qualitative and quantitative results of products including alerting out of compliance results.

• Assist on administering Company's quality program which may include Sensory evaluation, maintain sample retain library, internal audits, customer complaint, conduct environmental sampling, label review among others.

• Participate in raw materials, finished goods hold/release.

• Maintain production records, including storage and organization.

• Identify unsafe conditions/behaviors and take action to resolve.

• Perform post-cleaning and sanitation inspections.

• Perform other duties and tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or associate in science food science preferred or equivalent experience of Minimum of two years of related work experience.

• Minimum two years of work experience in food industry.

• Knowledge of food safety industry practices and standards.

• Strong knowledge of computer applications (Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point)

• Spanish is a plus but no required.

PhysicalDemandsandWorkEnvironment:

• Able to adjust the schedule as needed.

• Lifting and bending as needed. Exposure to cool/cold environment.
