QA Technician (SQA)

Seeking a position where they can apply their proficiency in quality assurance practices and technical acumen to ensure product excellence and enhance customer satisfaction within an organization's operational framework.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and participate in Supplier Source Inspections (SSI), ensuring parts meet specifications before shipment
• Collaborate with suppliers to address quality problems, proposing solutions for improvement
• Initiate and follow through on 8D CARs (Corrective Action Requests) for significant quality issues, ensuring timely resolution and effectiveness
• Inspect and approve incoming raw tube material according to established specifications and quality standards
• Respond promptly to production defect issues, determining the need for rework or supplier replacement
• Liaise with production teams and suppliers to identify root causes and implement corrective actions
• Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to identify and implement quality improvement opportunities
• Suggest solutions to recurring quality problems
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, quality issues, and corrective actions
• Assist in generating quality reports for management review

About you

• Minimum Certificate in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum 2 years working experience in QA/QC, manufacturing and/or QA lab measurement functions
• Knowledge of ISO9001:2015 Quality Management Systems, QC Tools, problem solving methodology (eg.: 8D, 5 why, FMEA, risks Assessment, Cause & Effect Diagrams, PDCA)
• Able to read and interpret technical drawing
• Able to work independently under minimum supervision and is resourceful in solving problems
