QA Test Analyst

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Test Analyst to ensure the quality, functionality, and reliability of software applications through comprehensive testing activities. The role will be responsible for analyzing requirements, developing test scenarios and cases, executing functional and regression tests, documenting defects, and collaborating with developers, Business Analysts, and project teams throughout the SDLC. The ideal candidate has strong analytical and problem-solving skills with solid experience in manual software testing and Agile environments.

Generic Responsibilities:

• Analyze business and system requirements to identify test conditions, scenarios, and acceptance criteria.
• Develop and maintain detailed test plans, test cases, test scripts, and test data.
• Execute functional, regression, smoke, integration, system, and end-to-end testing.
• Perform manual testing across web, mobile, and enterprise applications.
• Identify, document, track, and retest defects using tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.
• Conduct SIT and UAT and coordinate with business users to validate system functionality.
• Perform defect analysis and collaborate with developers and technical teams to investigate and resolve issues.
• Validate system behavior against business requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Participate in requirements reviews, test planning, sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Maintain accurate testing documentation, test results, defect reports, and traceability matrices.
• Support test execution during system releases, deployments, and production validation.
• Identify opportunities to improve testing processes, test coverage, and overall software quality.
• Work closely with Business Analysts, developers, project managers, Product Owners, and other QA professionals throughout the SDLC.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in Software Testing / Quality Assurance / Test Analysis.
• Strong experience in manual testing and test case development.
• Experience with functional, regression, integration, system, and UAT testing.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and software testing methodologies.
• Experience with defect tracking tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar.
• Strong analytical, documentation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into effective test scenarios.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum or Waterfall environments.
• Willing to work onsite in BGC, Taguig.
