QA Test Lead

Experience - 9+ years

Location - Pune (Hybrid)

As the QE Test Lead, you will own the architecture, standards, and governance of the CHS QE regression automation platform, with approximately 50% protected capacity dedicated to platform architecture, shared libraries, code reviews, and quality reporting. You will define the automation pyramid strategy (API/component-first with a thin UI layer), drive risk-based Priority-0/Priority-1 scope and ensure consistent quality across all regression engineers' coverage areas (Widget/auth/eligibility, Airports/Lounge/Fast Track, vendor/virtualization, billing/allocation, Data Roaming, and batch/event flows).

Working within an Agile environment, you will collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, Performance, and Release Engineering to define release-quality gates, triage and quarantine procedures, and operating model documentation. In addition, you will mentor the regression engineering team, lead code reviews and technical evaluations, and drive the overall automation strategy toward the four-month exit criteria.

Skills/Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience in Java, J2EE, Spring, and Spring Boot
  • Proven experience building and consuming REST APIs and Web Services
  • Hands-on experience with Playwright, RestAssured, Karate, Selenium, Cucumber, JMeter, Blazemeter, and API Automation frameworks
  • Proven experience designing and governing automation framework architecture and strategy
  • Strong understanding of software engineering principles, design patterns, and SDLC
  • Experience with CI/CD, Git, code reviews, and Agile/Scrum methodologies
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, set standards, and drive initiatives independently
• Hands-on experience developing solutions and building AI-powered agents using tools such as GitHub

Copilot,Microsoft 365 Copilot, Claude, and similar AI platforms to accelerate software development,

testing, troubleshooting, automation, and technical documentation.

• Experience troubleshooting production issues, root-cause analysis, and production support
• Strong communication, collaboration, and mentoring skills
• High degree of initiative, self-motivation, and continuous learning mindset

In addition, the following is also highly desirable:

• Test architecture and platform governance experience
  • Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery
  • Microservices and cloud-native application architecture
  • Performance and security testing exposure
  • Payments, Benefits, or FinTech domain experience

Education

bachelors degree in information technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
