Job Title: QA Tester / Automation Tester

Job Summary :

The QA Tester will ensure the integrity, accuracy and reliability of the Athena Master Reference Data Platform. The role focuses on automated testing of data pipelines, integration points and platform functionality to ensure master data remains a reliable single source of truth.

Key Responsibilities :

• Develop automated test scripts for data validation.

• Validate ETL processes and data transformations.

• Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines.

• Define test coverage and Definition of Done criteria.

• Develop test plans and test cases for master data workflows.

• Perform deep-dive data validation using SQL.

• Identify, document and track defects.

• Build and maintain automated regression suites.

• Validate API endpoints and downstream data consumption.

• Validate schema, payload and data contracts.

• Execute positive, negative and edge-case testing.

  Required Skills :

• 4-5 years of experience in Automation Testing for data-centric platforms .

• Strong hands-on experience with Python and PyTest or Great Expectations .

• Strong proficiency in SQL for data validation and backend testing .

• Experience testing Master Data Management (MDM), Reference Data or Data Warehouse platforms .

• Experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions or similar CI/CD tools .

• Hands-on experience with PyTest, Selenium or Robot Framework .

• Experience using Azure DevOps/Jira for defect management .

• Familiarity with Kafka/streaming data validation .

• Exposure to OpenSearch/Elasticsearch .

• Experience with MDM platforms; Reltio preferred .

• Strong analytical and defect-troubleshooting skills.

  Good to Have :

• Experience with data quality frameworks.

• Experience with API testing.

• Experience working with Data Engineers and Architects.

• Exposure to cloud-based data platforms.
