QAQC Assistant Engineer and General Worker

About the role

QA/QC Assistant Engineer position for Rock Material Testing. This role involves coordinating with consultants, third-party laboratories, and quarries for pre-delivery and in-process testing of rock materials, and managing documentation and compliance of rock material testing activities on site.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate with the consultant, third-party laboratory, and quarry for pre-delivery and in-process testing of rock materials
• Witness rock material sampling according to specified frequency and standards
• Supervise laboratory testing operations to ensure compliance with relevant standards and record key testing procedures
• Follow up on testing progress and assist the laboratory in expediting the issuance of test reports
• Assist the senior QA/QC engineer in routine inspections of the rock stockpile yard
• Record details such as sampling location, time, representative batch, and test items
• Assist in maintaining the rock testing data log and updating the list of approved batches
• Organize rock test reports, sampling records, and photos of sampling and testing activities
• Submit rock testing ITRs, collect and upload sampling photos, testing photos, and test reports until ITR closure
• Assist QA/QC engineers in submitting Material Approval Submissions (MAS) and Material Inspection Requests (MIR) for incoming materials

About you

• Degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Coastal/Marine Engineering, or related fields
• Bachelor's degree required for this position
• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience required
• Strong capability in document preparation and management
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Microsoft Word, and Excel
• Good communication skills, strong sense of responsibility, and team spirit
• Able to work under site conditions and project-based environments
• Computer literate
