QAQC Assistant (Workshop)

About the role

Perform inspections of heavy vehicles, including cranes, to ensure structural integrity, operational functionality, and compliance with safety regulations and manufacturer specifications.

Key responsibilities:

• Conduct inspections of mobile cranes and crawler cranes to assure structural integrity, operational functionality, and compliance with safety regulations and manufacturer specifications.
• Prepare inspection reports outlining findings, deficiencies, maintenance requirements, and recommendations
• Ensure all documentation is accurate, thorough, and compliant with regulatory standards.
• Monitor and be updated to relevant safety regulations, standards, and codes applicable to mobile and crawler crane operations and maintenance.
• Work closely with crane operators, maintenance teams, and project in-charge to address inspection findings promptly.
• Coordinate maintenance and repair activities for crawler and mobile cranes.
• Provide regular status updates, offer guidance on corrective actions, and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
• Identify opportunities for improving crane inspection protocols, procedures, and equipment to enhance operational efficiency and safety standards.

Requirement:

• Candidates must possess an ITE, Higher Nitec or Diploma qualification in an Engineering discipline.
• Experience in a QA/QC work environment is an advantage.
• Computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Demonstrates a strong commitment to safety standards and quality excellence in crane operations.
• Mandarin literacy is an added advantage given the regular review of Chinese technical manuals and specifications.
