QA/QC Asst. Manager

Position:- Sr. Engineer / Asst. Manager – QA/QC

Location:- Kandla, Gandhidham, Gujarat

Experience:- 7 to 10 years

Qualification:- B.E./B.Tech. (Metallurgy / Mechanical)

Responsibilities:-

• Experience of quality control and quality assurance in fabrication industry. (Automobile and/or tank manufacturing)
• Preparation of inspection and test plans, Quality Assurance Plan (QAP), welding inspection and qualifications as per EN and ASME codes
• Preparation of work Instructions, Procedures and QAP as per project requirements.
• Preparation of document for ISO 9001, PED CE marking.
• Knowledge of code and standard ASME section- VIII Div. 1 & 2, EN 13445, EN 13480 ASME section- IX and EN standards EN 10028-7,EN 15609, EN 10216-5 and PED (Pressure Equipment Directives) (97/23/EC).
• Preparation of inspection reports and approval from TPI and customer.
• Maintain the documents of in process inspection and supplier inspection.
• Responsible for supplier inspection, Inward inspection, in process inspection.
• Co-ordination for stage wise inspecting with third party inspection agencies and customer representatives.
• Radiography and Visual Test Level 2 as per EN 473/ ISO 9712 would be first preference.
• RT, PT, UT, VT Level -2 certification and qualification as per ASNT TC-1A of ASME standard.
• Knowledge of various materials and their specifications used in fabrication industries like carbon steel, low alloy steel pipes, fittings, plate
• Awareness of Integrated Management system (IMS) for the compliance. ISO 9001:2015 , ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018

Desired Skills

• Basic knowledge on type of Carbon Steel and Stainless Steel material and various grades.
• Hands on experience in welding processes like GTAW, GMAW, SMAW
• Knowledge on ASME code requirements.
• Experience in handling TPI like BVIS, LRIS, TUV, etc.
• Fluency in English spoken language
• Level II Qualification in Radiography, Liquid Penetrate Examination (PT) preferred

Pay: ₹461,000.00 - ₹1,000,000.00 per year

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Kandla, Gujarat: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)

Education:

• Diploma (Preferred)

Experience:

• QA/QC: 7 years (Required)
