QAQC Engineer

About the role

Responsible for implementing and monitoring quality assurance and quality control activities for the KUTS project, ensuring that engineering works, equipment, materials, installation, inspection and documentation comply with project requirements, approved drawings, specifications, applicable standards and quality procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and monitor the Project Quality Plan, QA/QC procedures and quality requirements throughout the project.
• Review and ensure compliance of engineering works, equipment, materials and installation with approved drawings, specifications, method statements and applicable standards.
• Prepare and maintain quality documents, including ITP, inspection checklists, inspection requests, test reports, material certificates and other QA/QC records.
• Coordinate inspections and testing with the client, consultant, main contractor, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Monitor site installation, equipment delivery, testing and commissioning activities to ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Review subcontractor and supplier quality documents and follow up on outstanding submissions or corrective actions.
• Identify quality issues, issue and follow up on NCRs, observations and corrective/preventive actions.
• Maintain proper records of inspection, testing, quality issues and project quality documentation for audit and handover purposes.
• Support internal and external ISO 9001 audits and ensure project quality records are properly maintained.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Construction, Procurement, Document Control and Project Management teams on quality-related matters.

About you

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Construction Management or a related field.
• Experience in QA/QC within engineering, construction, M&E, rail transit or infrastructure projects is preferred.
• Familiar with QA/QC documentation, ITP, inspection and testing procedures, NCR and corrective actions.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management system is an advantage.
• Good communication and coordination skills, with the ability to work with clients, consultants, contractors and suppliers.
• Ability to communicate in Chinese is an advantage.
