QAQC Engineer

About the role

Develop, implement and maintain the project Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) procedures and plans. Ensure construction works are carried out in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, method statements and project requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct inspections and monitor the quality of construction works at site
• Coordinate and arrange inspections with consultants, clients and relevant authorities
• Review and verify material submissions, shop drawings, method statements, inspection and test plans (ITP) and other quality-related documents
• Monitor and ensure incoming materials comply with approved specifications and requirements
• Prepare and maintain inspection records, test reports, quality checklists and other QA/QC documentation
• Identify non-conformities and coordinate corrective and preventive actions with the project team and subcontractors
• Monitor subcontractors' work quality and ensure compliance with project quality requirements
• Coordinate and follow up on testing, commissioning and other quality-related activities
• Assist in preparing project handover and quality documentation, including as-built records and testing reports
• Participate in site meetings and provide updates on quality issues and corrective actions

About you

• At least Diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or equivalent qualification
• Minimum 2 years relevant experience in the implementation of MS ISO:9001 in the construction industry
• Has attended field internal audit activities for MS ISO:9001 or process Internal Auditor Certificate from agency or body recognized by MAMPU
• Experience in JKR projects is required
• Able to work in Klang Valley
