QA/QC Engineer

Key Core Responsibilities1. Onsite Inspections & Field Audits

• Conduct daily physical inspections of ongoing works (structural, mechanical, electrical, or manufacturing operations) against approved engineering drawings and specifications.
• Verify dimensions, alignments, tolerances, and surface finishes prior to moving to subsequent construction phases.
• Carry out hold-point and witness-point inspections alongside client representatives or third-party inspectors.

2. Quality Assurance (Processes & Planning)

• Implement and update project-specific Quality Management Plans (QMP) and Inspection and Test Plans (ITP).
• Oversee material receiving, storage, and traceability to verify all delivered items comply with technical datasheets and purchase orders.
• Monitor standard operating procedures (SOPs) to prevent recurring defects or work delays.

3. Quality Control (Testing & Verification)

• Perform or supervise onsite and laboratory sampling/testing (e.g., concrete slump tests, weld NDT inspections, soil compaction tests, thickness gauging).
• Verify calibration and maintenance certifications for all testing instruments and tools on site.
• Check batch reports, mill certificates, and test results before approving material usage.

4. Non-Conformance Management & Corrective Action

• Issue Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) whenever works, materials, or workmanship fail to meet specified standards.
• Investigate root causes for non-compliance and work with site engineers or production managers on corrective actions.
• Conduct re-inspections to close out NCRs and prevent defect reoccurrence.

5. Documentation & Technical Reporting

• Maintain complete inspection records, checklists, test reports, and structural logs.
• Prepare weekly and monthly QA/QC quality dashboards, progress reports, and turnover documentation for client handover.
• Ensure all field revisions or Method Statements (MS) receive formal approval before work starts.
