QA/QC Engineer

We are seeking a detail-oriented QA/QC Engineer with a minimum of 2 years of UAE experience in interior fit-out and general contracting projects. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all construction and fit-out activities comply with approved drawings, project specifications, quality standards, and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain QA/QC procedures in accordance with project specifications and company quality standards.
• Inspect construction and interior fit-out works to ensure compliance with approved drawings and technical specifications.
• Monitor the quality of civil, architectural, finishing, and fit-out works.
• Conduct site inspections and coordinate with consultants, clients, subcontractors, and project teams.
• Prepare and submit Inspection Requests (IRs) and coordinate inspections with consultants.
• Review material submittals, shop drawings, method statements, and Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs).
• Identify quality issues, raise Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), and follow up on corrective actions.
• Maintain quality documentation, inspection reports, checklists, and testing records.
• Ensure materials and workmanship meet approved project requirements and applicable UAE standards.
• Coordinate with site engineers and project managers to resolve quality-related issues.
• Conduct snagging and de-snagging inspections and ensure timely closure of defects.
• Monitor ongoing construction activities and ensure compliance with project quality requirements.
• Assist in preparing quality reports, handover documents, and project completion records.
• Ensure quality procedures are followed throughout all stages of construction and fit-out works.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of UAE experience in QA/QC for fit-out and contracting projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction, civil, architectural, and interior finishing works.
• Experience in site inspections, inspection requests, NCRs, and quality documentation.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, shop drawings, and technical specifications.
• Knowledge of construction materials, workmanship standards, and quality control procedures.
• Good communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and preparation of QA/QC reports.
• Ability to coordinate effectively with consultants, subcontractors, and site teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in commercial, residential, retail, hospitality, or office fit-out and contracting projects.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management systems and relevant UAE construction standards.
• Immediate availability or a short notice period is an advantage.
