QAQC Engineer

PURPOSE:

The role focuses on verifying compliance with technical standards, specifications, and regulatory requirements, ensuring continuous improvement of service quality, asset performance, and customer satisfaction while supporting safety and environmental objectives.

ROLES & RESPOSIBILITIES:

• Well-versed in QCS 2024.
• Establish control of QA/QC Plans, Method of Statements, and Test Plans before commencement of the project and implementing it during the project to meet the project quality requirements and client’s expectations.
• Prepare work inspection request (WIR) and secure required clearances for each activity and submit to ensure it covers all the construction activities done on site.
• Conduct the quality tool box and method statement briefing for all the activities
• Ensure all incoming materials are checked as per the project specifications and approved material submittals.
• Maintain record, monitor WIR, and test reports, and update Management, Construction Team, Planning, Quantity Surveyors and Cost Control Departments about the current job status.
• Monitor the construction activities and workman ship at site.
• Conduct snagging/punch list prior to handing-over of completed works.
• Awareness of contract, project requirements, and specifications.
• Ensures that the work being done is in accordance with the Technical Specifications and Method of Statement approved.
• Ensures that all the materials used in the Project are based on the approved materials by the Consultant.
• Conducts regular inspections for the work at the site and once completed, raises inspection for the Consultant's approval. Issues Non-Conformance Report (NCR) to Sub-Contractors, and initiates corrective action if the work or the material used is not as per the approved one.
• Prepares required daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
• Partly responsible for implementing HSE requirements.
• Ensures that all milestones/goals/KPIs are achieved within the given timeframe.
• Plans, schedules, and assigns tasks/responsibilities to team and prepare reports relative to the completion of projects.
• Organizes/attends meetings and creates the minutes.
• Carry out other tasks assigned.

EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum three (5) years relevant experience in operations and maintenance projects/contracts and wastewater treatment.
• Well-experienced in preparation of project documents and project management.

COMPETENCIES:

• Adept in managing each stage/phase of the project.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in various computer software and applications.
• Quick decision-making ability.
• Organized and excellent time management.
• High sense of responsibility and commitment to work.
• Previous experience with Ashghal project is an advantage.

EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree in any Engineering Course

OTHERS: UPDA Certified Engineer / to obtain this year
