QAQC ENGINEER

About the role

We are looking for a QA/QC Engineer to oversee quality assurance and quality control for our ELV, ICT, security and communication systems projects. You will work closely with project teams, clients and subcontractors to ensure installations meet project specifications, approved drawings and quality requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct material and site inspections to ensure compliance with approved drawings, project specifications and quality standards.
• Check installation workmanship, including cable routing, supports, termination, labelling and equipment installation.
• Prepare and maintain inspection and test plans, checklists and quality records.
• Coordinate inspections with clients, consultants, project teams and subcontractors.
• Witness testing and commissioning activities and verify test reports.
• Identify quality issues, raise non-conformance reports and follow up on corrective actions.
• Monitor subcontractors’ work and provide guidance on quality requirements.
• Maintain and track punch lists to ensure defects are resolved before project handover.
• Review as-built drawings and compile inspection reports, test records and handover documents.
• Ensure inspection and testing equipment is suitable for use and has valid calibration where required.
• Support quality audits and follow up on audit findings.

What we're looking for

• Diploma or degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
• Relevant QA/QC experience in electrical, instrumentation or ELV projects.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in quality assurance and control within the construction industry.
• Proficiency in quality management systems and ISO 9001 standards.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to prepare clear inspection reports and technical documentation.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills to identify defects and non-conformities.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple inspections across various project sites.
• Relevant certifications such as QAQC Inspector Certification or equivalent would be advantageous.
