QA/QC Engineer

1. Job Summary

Responsible for managing quality inspection activities, maintaining quality standards, monitoring CNC/VMC machined components, handling customer complaints, and ensuring that products meet drawing specifications and customer requirements.

2. Key Responsibilities

• Monitor incoming, in-process, and final quality inspections.
• Inspect CNC/VMC machined components as per engineering drawings.
• Handle measuring instruments such as Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Height Gauge, Bore Gauge, and Dial Gauge.
• Verify dimensional tolerances and surface finish requirements.
• Maintain inspection reports, rejection reports, and quality documentation.
• Identify defects and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Coordinate with Production and Maintenance teams to reduce rejection and rework.
• Monitor PPM, rejection percentage, and quality performance.
• Handle customer complaints and support root-cause analysis using 5 Why and Fishbone methods.
• Ensure calibration of measuring instruments and maintain inspection records.
• Follow 5S, Kaizen, and applicable quality procedures.

3. Required Skills

• Knowledge of CNC/VMC machining processes.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and understand GD&T basics.
• Experience with dimensional inspection and measuring instruments.
• Knowledge of 7 QC Tools, CAPA, and root-cause analysis.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 is preferred.
• Good coordination and team-handling skills.
