QAQC Engineer (Data Center Construction)

About the role

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented QA/QC Engineer to support our data center construction projects. The role involves conducting inspections, verifying compliance with approved drawings and specifications, and coordinating with project stakeholders to ensure quality requirements are met throughout construction and handover.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and monitor the Project Quality Plan, Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), and relevant quality procedures.
• Review construction drawings, specifications, method statements and material submissions to understand applicable quality requirements.
• Conduct site inspections to verify that workmanship and materials comply with approved drawings, project specifications and applicable standards.
• Coordinate inspection requests, material inspections and testing activities with consultants, site teams and subcontractors.
• Verify that required inspections and tests are completed and documented before work proceeds to subsequent stages.
• Identify quality defects, raise Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), and follow up on corrective actions through to closure.
• Monitor subcontractor quality performance and highlight recurring issues to the project team.
• Verify material certificates, test reports and the calibration status of inspection and testing equipment.
• Maintain inspection records, quality checklists, test results and other project quality documentation.
• Support quality audits and coordinate the resolution of audit findings.

About you

• Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Relevant QA/QC experience in construction projects.
• Candidates with experience in data center construction projects are strongly encouraged to apply.
• Good understanding of quality assurance and quality control procedures, inspection requirements and construction practices.
• Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, method statements and Inspection and Test Plans.
• Familiarity with inspection requests, material approvals, NCR management and corrective action follow-up.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management principles would be an advantage.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the preparation of inspection reports and quality records.
• Strong attention to detail, with good analytical, communication and coordination skills.
• Able to work independently and collaborate effectively with consultants, site teams and subcontractors.
