Job Summary

Drawlines Engineering Consult is looking for an experienced QA/QC Engineer – Electrical & Mechanical with a minimum of 5 years of experience in the AEC industry. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring that electrical and mechanical works comply with approved drawings, specifications, project requirements, and applicable quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain QA/QC procedures for electrical and mechanical works.
• Review project drawings, specifications, method statements, ITPs, and inspection requirements.
• Conduct inspections of electrical and mechanical installations and ensure compliance with approved documents.
• Prepare and manage Inspection Requests (IRs), ITPs, checklists, NCRs, and quality records.
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, subcontractors, site engineers, and project teams regarding quality requirements.
• Monitor installation activities and identify quality issues, defects, and non-conformities.
• Follow up on NCRs, corrective actions, and preventive actions until closure.
• Verify materials, equipment, and installations against approved specifications and submittals.
• Ensure testing and commissioning activities are carried out according to approved procedures.
• Conduct quality inspections for MEP works, including electrical systems, HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, and mechanical installations.
• Maintain proper QA/QC documentation, inspection records, and project quality reports.
• Support internal quality audits and ensure compliance with project quality plans.
• Assist with snagging, punch-list inspections, and final handover documentation.
• Ensure all works comply with applicable Qatar regulations, project specifications, and international standards.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 5+ years of QA/QC experience in the AEC industry.
• Strong experience in electrical and mechanical/MEP works.
• Experience with construction quality procedures, inspections, ITPs, method statements, and technical documentation.
• Knowledge of MEP drawings, specifications, testing, and commissioning requirements.
• Experience in handling NCRs, corrective actions, inspections, and quality reports.
• Familiarity with relevant international codes, standards, and Qatar project requirements.
• Good communication, coordination, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
• Qatar/GCC project experience is preferred.
• Candidates currently available in Qatar will be preferred.
