What they need
ABOUT US:
Join a team that is redefining the accessibility of space. Azista space is a transformative force in the global aerospace sector, uniquely positioned at the intersection of indigenous innovation and industrial scalability. Operating India’s first private-sector satellite mass-production facility in Ahmedabad, we have bridged the gap between complex engineering and high-volume manufacturing.
As a vertically integrated leader, we provide end-to-end solutions from the precision design of satellite buses and advanced payloads to mission management and communication systems. We don’t just build hardware, we are democratizing the final frontier by providing global clientele with the cost-effective, high-performance technology needed to power the next generation of orbital missions. At Azista, you won't just be starting a job, you’ll be fuelling the future of space exploration.
JOB SUMMARY:
We are looking for a passionate QA/QC Engineer – Electronics to drive engineering excellence and maintain uncompromising quality standards across the entire satellite lifecycle. In this role, you will collaborate closely with Design, Production, and Assembly, Integration, and Testing (AIT) teams, owning quality assurance, reliability analysis, and compliance protocols for advanced satellite electronics and hardware.
You will own the verification of space-grade components, lead root cause analyses, and ensure our systems perform reliably in the harshest orbital environments. If you are driven by precision, technical rigor, and the thrill of space exploration, this is your opportunity to put your stamp on history.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Quality Assurance Leadership: Develop and implement robust QA plans, procedures, and inspection standards aligned with ECSS, ISRO-PAS, MIL-STD, and industry best practices.
- Design Phase Integration: Partner with cross-functional teams during System Requirements Review (SRR), Preliminary Design Review (PDR), and Critical Design Review (CDR) to bake quality into every phase of design.
- Reliability & Circuit Analysis: Perform network analysis, derating analysis, worst-case analysis, FMEA, FMECA, Fault Tree Analysis (FTA), and Reliability Block Diagram (RBD) studies to identify and mitigate design vulnerabilities.
- AIT & Environmental Compliance: Review and validate environmental qualification test results—including Thermal, Vibration, EMI/EMC, and Thermal Vacuum (TVAC) testing—and verify compliance with Acceptance Test Procedures (ATP).
- Audit & Configuration Control: Conduct internal and supplier quality audits while maintaining end-to-end component traceability, configuration management, and documentation control.
- Non-Conformance Management: Investigate non-conformances, perform root cause analysis (RCA), implement Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA), and drive continuous quality improvement across electronic manufacturing.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR?
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE), or equivalent.
- Experience: 2+ years of hands-on Quality Assurance (QA/QC) experience within Aerospace, Space, Satellite, Defence, Electronics Manufacturing, or High-Reliability Systems.
- Standards & Compliance: Strong knowledge of ECSS, ISRO-PAS, MIL-STD-883, IPC-A-610, and quality management principles.
- Technical Expertise: Practical background in supporting satellite electronics, avionics, power electronics, on-board computers, RF systems, or payloads, alongside circuit derating and worst-case analysis skills.
- Methodologies: Familiarity with FMEA, FMECA, FTA, RCA, CAPA, and reliability engineering frameworks.
- Core Competencies: Exceptional analytical thinking, rigorous documentation discipline, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Hands-on experience in Satellite Assembly, Integration & Testing (AIT) quality processes.
- Familiarity with cleanroom operations, contamination control, and ESD-safe handling practices.
- Experience with satellite subsystems such as Reaction Wheels, Battery Systems, EPS, CDH, PCU, and RF Payloads.
- Certifications or working knowledge of AS9100, ISO 9001, or Six Sigma (Green/Black Belt).
WHY JOIN US?
- Pioneering Impact: Work at the vanguard of India's private space revolution, contributing directly to hardware that reaches orbit.
- End-to-End Exposure: Gain comprehensive visibility across the entire satellite lifecycle, from initial design reviews to final environmental testing and launch readiness.
- Innovation Culture: Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams of brilliant aerospace engineers in a fast-paced, high-growth, mission-driven environment.
- Career Growth: Scale your expertise alongside state-of-the-art satellite mass-production infrastructure and global projects.
