QA/QC Engineer – Landscape

About the Role

Al Sayyar Technical Service LLC (STS) is looking for an experienced QA/QC Engineer – Civil or Agricultural Engineer with a strong Landscape background to join our team in Dubai.

The ideal candidate will have solid experience in landscape construction, softscape, hardscape, irrigation, infrastructure, and external works, with strong knowledge of quality control procedures, inspections, material approvals, and project documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain QA/QC procedures for landscape and civil works.
• Inspect ongoing landscape, hardscape, softscape, irrigation, and external works to ensure compliance with approved drawings and specifications.
• Conduct inspections and prepare Inspection Requests (IR/WIR) and quality documentation.
• Review materials, samples, method statements, ITPs, and shop drawings.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Engineers, Supervisors, Consultants, and subcontractors regarding quality requirements.
• Monitor workmanship and ensure compliance with project specifications, approved materials, and applicable standards.
• Prepare and maintain Inspection & Test Plans (ITP), Checklists, NCRs, MIRs, and Quality Reports.
• Identify non-conforming works and coordinate corrective and preventive actions.
• Conduct site inspections for planting, irrigation networks, drainage, paving, kerbstones, interlock, concrete works, water features, and other landscape works.
• Verify testing and commissioning of irrigation systems and related landscape works.
• Maintain complete QA/QC records and project handover documentation.
• Participate in consultant/client inspections and resolve quality-related comments.
• Ensure proper documentation and close-out of NCRs and inspection observations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, Horticulture, Landscape Engineering, or a related field.
• 5–10 years of relevant experience, preferably in UAE/GCC landscape construction projects.
• Strong experience in Landscape QA/QC is mandatory.
• Good knowledge of softscape, hardscape, irrigation, drainage, planting, and external works.
• Familiarity with QA/QC documentation, ITPs, MIRs, IRs/WIRs, NCRs, checklists, and method statements.
• Ability to read and interpret civil and landscape drawings, specifications, and details.
• Knowledge of relevant UAE standards and consultant requirements.
• Strong communication, coordination, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
• UAE/GCC experience is highly preferred.
• UAE Driving Licence is an advantage.
